This is the second time we have stayed here, only because my sister-in-law lives in Wichita and it is close to where they live. We will be here 10 nights; thank God we will be gone most of the time. We made reservations 3 weeks in advance. For the first time since we have been traveling (1 1/2 years, 42 States) the campground charged our CC the full amount that day...isn't there a law against that? When we questioned it, their comment was "we do this all the time" (comforting). They advertise "20 Quiet Acres"; they must think that the road noise that surrounds the campground, the nearby train and the jets flying over are silent! Interior roads are completely graveled and dusty with many permanent RVers. The site they gave us was overlooking a storage yard with a large heap of gravel, steel fence and variety of junk yard objects (picturesque). I’m hoping my sister-In-law moves away so we never have to come here again! I would have given them a lower score but the bathrooms and laundry room were clean!

We are currently traveling the US and have visited 27 States, stayed at 44 different campgrounds so far. We have seen it all...the good, the bad, the ugly! We have not stayed at a more serene, peaceful and scenic campground, complete with impeccably clean showers and bathrooms, lush, green grass where deer roam freely, running creeks and full view of the Appalachian Mountains. Mark and Bonnie, the owners, could not do enough for us. They even called us on our cell phone a day after we got set up to make sure we were all right and to see if we needed anything. Firewood is free and Mark also brought us a package of fire starters for our fire as well as fresh homegrown ramps (an Elkins favorite vegetable). We went to town one day and when we returned he had placed a plastic trash container complete with a plastic bag by our 5th wheel. We rate this Campground a ten! Thank you Mark and Bonnie for a wonderful experience, we will never forget you and your marvelous Campground.

A good place to stay for a night or two only. Everything was fine except the showers are very small. Hard to turn around in the shower stall and I had to bend down quit a bit to wash my hair.

Todd and his assistant Gay were more than hospitable. They always made sure we were taken care of. Todd is working very hard on many camp projects to improve on this very special place. Many things to do and see from this area. Highly recommended!
